Hello All... In 2005 I debated buying the CBR 1000rr or the GSXR 1000.. After siting on both and asking a few people I chose the GSXR... The only reason I chose it was it just felt better while sitting on it.. I had some clutch problems after a month or so and Suzuki did fix it. I sold it 11 months later and have not owned one since.. I raced dirt bikes for 15 years so I am experienced... Now I want to get another one.. Can anyone on here tell me what the difference is between the two, I know this is a Honda based forum but I wouls like an honest opinion. I like the new look of the 08 1000rr. As far as the K8 GSXR, Im not sure about the dual exchaust.. Has anyone riden both? I am a bigger rider 6ft2 and 245.. Thanks guys and I look foward to reading your response...

Try to get a test drive on the year and model you may wish to buy. Hondas tend to have a better finish quality. (my two cents :) )

i was in the same delemma with 7 gsxr vs 07 cbr1000 and i chose the honda after my friend with a 07 gsxr 750 let me ride it. didn't like the feel and i'm 6'2 as well

i got a o5 1000rr and love it! ive rode zx12s zx 10s r1s gsxr1000 every bike has pros and cons ! i fill at home on my honda it rides itself i just hold on!!!!!!!!

I currently own a 2000 gsx-r 750 and a 06 cbr 1000. and although the year and design difference, i use the suzuki for stunt and cbr for speed. i rode the 06 suzuki and kawi the honda's solid design is untouchable. my opinion. the suzuki is easier to stand up or maybe im just used to it. Honda all the way (cars, bikes, jet skis. all)

The K8 and K7 gsxr are very nice, I've rode all four and a few of the euros as well I went with honda for a few reasons. First if the duel bug you on the gix just remember thats a quick change. Personally I hate all 08 exhaust minus the one on the duc. My main reason for not going with the gix was just too many here in town. I've never had a honda car or bike get me stuck anywhere. They run forever, if your nice too them much longer but near bulletproof. My stunt bike is a 750 gix which does its job well but day to day they are jumpy. Honda has a nice powerband you dont really relize how fast you get moving.
