hi guys, i know its been a while since i've been around, but the weather here is perfect for riding. my prob is, ever since i have owned my 954 it makes a light clunking sound whenever it rolls , like the chain is rubbing up on something. when the bike is hot , and i bring it home after a ride the noise seems to lessen. i maintain this bike after every ride.i have been told by the dealer , its normal . being in the automotive industry, i feel like its a bearing or something, and i fear one day i will fly over the handlebars. can anyone of you guys put my fears to rest ?? am i being paranoid, or is this specific to the 954 :?: ................... thanx in advance ROGER

WEheeeww, dont know about that one, mine doesnt do that :!: Mine was real cluncky shifting but I went to full synthetic and that took care of that. If Its not a noisy chain and its trully in the tranny, Id get it to somebody that knows there stuff and find out what it is. :eek: Try going full synthetic and see if that helps. :idea:

mine clunks like a fuckin club footed dutchman walking down the stairs, and they wear clogs, but thats only if i am ramming it about like a fuckin hateplow, otherwise i can smooth them out, i dont have the shit the dealer is telling you is going on and i abuse my shit, for real

Hey Dude,
All you need to do is Buy yourself another chain, Yeah i know it looks fine, but somewhere along the line you didn't lube it right or you've killed it, now you have kinks in it and tight spots. So your Rolling along and it sounds like Ball Bearings in your engine. Just Buy another Chain, and make sure it's Aligned properly. That should cure all your problems. Also while your at it you might wanna drop some of the Rotational mass by chainging to a complete 520 setup. And one more thing change the oil to full synthetic it works wonders with the tranny.
