K I am sure that this topic has been covered before but I was unable to find it!
I want to make my swing arm have the same look as my frame (BLACK). I have seen a few people anodize it but it just looks different. Does anybody know what process Honda used? Thanks

powder coat.

I was told by a shop that powder coats that it can not be done with powder coat... Who knows Not me... anyone have any picts of a powder coated swing arm....

Find a diferent shop because I have seen it done on several 954's Just make sure they plug all the holes and cover all the mounting surfaces or you will have a hell of a time getting it back on. In my opinion it lookjs way better without the PC on the swingarm.

The reason the shop said no.... is that they could not powder coat as thin with a silver flake in it ... so there for it would not match the frame...

But thanks for your brilliant insight to what swing arms are made from..... And i thought it was made from jello !

I had these guys do my swingarm for $60. out the door. They had just got in a textured black that is close to whats on the frame, but I wanted the low gloss.

to post up pics 1st you need to host them at snapfish or imagesattion and then when the pic is there and you are viewing it
you right click on the pic and when the dialogue box pops up you highlight the entire http: address located in the middl of that box and copy it..
then you come into the forum reply screen and click on the "Img" tag.
next you paste the address directly nextto the "]" bracket and click on the "Img" again that's about it.

once you get the hang of it it's nothing.

pm me if you have any troubles and it'd be nice to see a pic of that swingarm AzRael. :)
