I can be riding really hard and it will do it or i can be going 25 mph just chillin. i have no clue. Any of you guys have any clue.

Change your oil and hope it goes away. If not you may have bad shift forks or worse bad gears.

are you sure its not something as simple as lever tension?

lever tension seems fine. checked my shifter to see if had to much play or if it was bent it looked fine.

how does it shift w/o the clutch? if it's buttery smooth while clutchless shifting, look at your clutch pack. if your lever and cable are doing their job properly, you might have some warped plates goin' on. if it's still not shifting properly w/o the clutch, it could range from being as simple as a shift drum roller/linkage problem, or you could have a buggered up drum, forks, or gear dogs.

Its the oil, using the wrong oil will lock up your gears. I did it on my first bike and it was pain in the ass to shift.
