I just got my Jardine race pipe put on my 1000rr. I havent rode with it on because when I was checking out everything I started the bike and rev'd it alittle and noticed it had a little bit of dark smoke come out. I have never messed with a jardine or a race pipe, is this normal???
Thanks

My 954 does it too at high rpm if I am just quicly nailing the throttle...
What you need to worry about is blue or white smoke........

it's just carbon.
do you run only 93 octane or better all the time?
cheap gas will produce way more carbon and yes you can get cheap gas that is 93 octane.
I have found about all the good gas stations around by me that have good gas and they are nowhere near the city. less carbon from them.

I think it was just because it was a new pipe now that it has been used alittle bit there is no more smoke coming out of the exhaust

true. I forgot to focus on that. manufacturing residues.....
How's the pipe doing for you?
its normal. the new can will trap the rest of hte carbon in the system. post sound clip if you can. and is that pipe crooked like the rest of them

1) The pipe is awesome
2) The pipe is crooked, but it doesnt look to bad
