for any of you that are familiar with the member "olderRR." you all know what type of genuine person he is and the dignified character he upholds especially with his wacky humorous comments and such.
Last year some time he had bought his wife the 600rr to compliment his 954rr and they have been enjoying their riding times together until recently with his wife being hit by a truck.
olderRR. has created a thread on the Honda Sportbike Network (http://p088.ezboard.com/fhondasportbikenetworkfrm2.showMessage?t opicID=2839.topic) in reflection to this unfortunate incident and I for one am saying that Anything you may need ,olderRR. and especially your wife, I am here for you guys!!!!!!!

I have been down more than an average person may ever be and have sustained quite a list of injuries over the years and not one of them has hindered me from doing what brings me so much wholesomeness and freedom that I get when I am out on my adventures or even the simple little put put rides.

Lori, I wish for you the strength and endurance to overcome anything that may come upon your path within these healing travels.
Let not a thing discourage you from being the strong person you are known to be and know one thing, M'Lady, .... You live to ride another day.

My Best,

Pete's good friend

Pickup drags woman biker

OGDEN -- A woman is in fair condition after being hit and dragged by a pickup Wednesday at 8 p.m.

The woman was on a black Honda sports bike in the center turning lane of Monroe Boulevard and was about to turn left onto Ninth Street. Her husband, on another motorcycle, had already made the left turn.

As she turned, a red Dodge Ram 2500 turned left from westbound Ninth Street onto Monroe, striking the woman with its winch, said Ogden police Lt. Loring Draper.

Tricia LeFevre, who lives on Monroe Boulevard, watched the crash from her porch with her 3-year-old daughter.

LeFevre said the truck dragged the woman for a few feet before stopping in the center turning lane.

The woman was taken to McKay-Dee Hospital with a compound fracture in her left leg. She was wearing a helmet.

olderRR's post at HSBN...
It just has not been our year. I'm numb. We went riding last evening. Good ride. Practiced some technical stuff and rode a couple freeway on off ramps for Lori's first time which she did very well. We head back home. We're two blocks from home and turning left of a four lane blvd. onto side street leading to our home. Lori is 20 feet behind me. There is a pick up truck stopped on the side street waiting to turn left onto the blvd. He is stopped at a fucking stopped sign. We clear intersection and turn left. The bastard just goes through intersection and ran Lori down and drug her. I watched it all. I run to her and she's messed. Her left leg is hanging below her knee, shattered. The bastard in the truck didn't even help me pull the bike off of her. The EMT and para's and police get there and they worked their asses off on her. She went through a very long reconstructive surgery last night. but because of the open wounds and bone exposure, they can't close her wounds until tomorrow. She will have more recon then. Thank God for morphine. Thank God we had on gear. The new Shoei saved her life. I'm numb. I guess I better change my clothes and get back to her.
The black CBR is a crumpled mass. I don't know if I can continue to ride. I can't get the vision out of my mind. The fucking bastard drug my wife. I don't know.

Wear your gear everybody. Wear it.
I'll check in later.. We even made the local paper. Helmet and gear save life.

God no!

That is sooooo close to home. That's horrible. I can't imagine seeing something like that happen to my wife.

I gave up trying to talk my wife into riding.
