Is it worth going here??? (http://www.midohio.com/sportscarcourse/events/amasuperbike.asp)

I'd have to ride my bike almost 8hrs with a bud to check it out and it looks Way restricted of an event to go to and venture around at.
I know it'll be a wicked race and all but I want someone who is familiar with the track and the event to tell me yay or nay.

thanks.

i've never been there personally and im not sure what you mean by restricted, but we bought paddock passes, actually "super tickets" which are paddock, admission, and seats in one pass. we'll be camping out on the grounds and hangin out. I'm a racing fan anyhow so its worth it to me. Let me know if you decide to go, and ill pm you my cell # :)

ahhh what I meant by restricted is it looks like you can't walk around and watch the race where ever you can since they are selling the grandstand tickets and the selling the paddock passes...
I've only been to Road America and I can ride my motorcycle all over the whole place and even right up to the paddock, then get down and walk around for the price of $30.00 you can even stand in front of the grandstand at the finish line or be close enough to get wine sprayed on you by the winners...
I still woudn't mind going just so I can watch another race in real life though...

to my understanding you can walk around wherever.

we called and asked them about all sorts of stuff cause their rules are very basic...like if they allowed glass bottles, alcohol, fires, etc while camping...they were very layed back and said everything was cool and they dont care, just observe posted rules, etc. im sure it'll be cool, you can walk around and view from many grassy areas. people bring folding chairs and stuff, as i noticed in the pics on the site.

Also, im trying to go this year a couple times cause i hear next year they may be changing the open paddock rules and making it more restricted and harder to get into the pits and so forth, but it could be rumors. either way im gonna have a pblast and its a fun and relatively cheap weekend! :)

exactly what makes sense from what I was gathering and thanks for waking me up on the pics in the site...

when my bud called the night of this post (after midnight... lol talk about being excited, haha)he had just woke me up and I seriously remember him being unsure of the whole trip from the get go so I thought it'd be best to ask others' opinions before I get too excited over it.

would be a nice thing to go be at :relax:
and you can go on parade ride
