First, let me say I am going to really enjoy this group and thanks for having me. Its an honor to be here. I've had this awesome CBR 1000RR for 2 months now and the second week (after break in and testing) I took it apart to make stuff!! I am a Honda fan, always have been and always will be. I have dyno and 1/4 mile track tested it and I'm very impressed.

what were your #'s on the dyno and 1/4 mile.

I put the 600 miles on it and loaded it on the dyno. With the engine temp 185-190 It put down 157.8 rwhp and 95.5 ftlb torque with an afr of 11.8. On the second pull the temp was at 215 and it made 148.5 rwhp and low 80s for torque. The temp really affected it badly!!! However on the track, the 8th and the 9th run would back up the fact that this is a powerful machine by posting two 9.9 passes @ just under 140 mph with a cross quartering headwind of about 8-10mph

I have been documenting all before and after results for the parts as they are installed. Now, to get the turbo dialed in. Im using an IHI VF22 ball bearing turbo with some special trims and custom attachments and it is very expensive. The details are hush hush but I can tell you that the turbo will comfortably support 325 RW HP...........Uh Lets see how the pistons and rods hold up!

I have some auctions on EBay now and the bike is somewhat dismantled. You can find the auctions by typing "CBR 1000 RR" and theyre in your face at the top of the page. I paid the extra$$$$ for all the features. The turbo is mounted without the header there if you look close youll see its location, and you can view some really cool parts for sale too. As soon as I get familiar with this forum, Ill be scanning dyno's and pics etc. The video of this thing posting 9.9 sec 1/4 all stock is too cool. In fact no one believes is with out the vid. Glad I have that one!!!

Hey Tek since you make all this cool shit why dont you make a cable clutch conversion for the 1000rr......... I think you could sell alot of them.......

tekcoryvad
07-23-2004, 04:25 AM
2K2954, You're only the 2nd person to say the bike needs a cable clutch. If the hydro clutch turns out to be a problem, I will definitely put a conversion on my list of things to do. Since I saw your reply, I already made a drawing of a cam box to replace the slave cylinder on the left side engine case:idea:. Maybe this will turn out to be an good option for you guys that arent getting what you think you should from the factory clutch setup. Anyway, Its just a drawing that may or may not make it into production. I've had no trouble with my hydraulic clutch yet but only have a couple thousand miles on it so I cant say everything is perfect there. Thanks for the reply. 8)
