well fellas, state farm got me. just got the letter from them that they will not renew me because i had an accident in 2000. i think that it is because they are still leaving new jersey, even though the guy who made the decision says that is not the case. i need to find a new insurance company before end of next month. what sucks is that i was only payin' $530 for full coverage in jersey! what companies can/should i look at? all help is greatly appreciated!

thanks fellas. i am looking at foremost insurance. progressive does not insurance in new jersey. a broker here in jersey has quoted me at $1157 for full coverage with 500 ded. comp./coll. with limits of 250/500/100 on liability. we were on the phone for about 30-40 mins. as he explained to me how state farm did not know how to rate bikes and they were using automobile calculations. he said that there are a lot of people who are being let go by state farm that had a ridiculously low premium. i also found out that if i get a '04 gsxr750 that i will get a policy from aegis insurance for $770 with same coverages. i may have to think about that because i have a new house that i am getting a lot of renovations done to and i am spending a lot of money on that. what do you guys think about that? just pickin' your brain. any more suggestions will be greatly appreciated! :?

first off NJ sucks... None of the big names will insure in the state cause it is too costly.

You can try Rider.. they do insurance, but depending on your age and where you live it can get crazy. My favorite.. if you are 20 or under and live in Bayonne, hoboken or around that area and have a 751cc bike or larger it will cost $2952 for a year... LOL
link to rider's rates:

I wa a member of Rider insurance for 9 years, never had to use them but everyhting was cool. Problem was that you need 50% down to start the policy.
I asked them for a break this year since I have been with them for 9 years, and they said no.. so I shopped around, and eventually jumped ship.

I now have foremost. This came out to a little over a $1k for the year(saving $150), but with this you get roadside assistance and your passenger is covered- two things Rider doesn't have.

Foremost takes your quote by your credit score and some other responsibility rating or some shit like that. If you are great in credit then chances are you can get a lower rate from them.

Call this place they will help you out... KSW Agency 732-257-3869 they are a broker for insurance. They also race bikes too.

Good luck man, as you know insurance is shitty in NJ no matter what.
