the second of my two 954's saw an early grave after being broken in half from a 130mph loop and went all over the place for over 470ft as did me and my girl..

took Forever to get ins. $ all worked out and by that time my ins. rates went through the roof for even a 600 if I woulda gone that route. (I was paying over $200 a month for the rr and am only paying $30 a month for full coverage on the klr.)
Still having a blast even with that but am going crazy not having the power...BUT I am working on building a turbo for that piece and also rebuilding my kanatuna 600...

waiting patiently to be able to get the 1KRR.

no... didn't mean to loop it over a nice grade, just went for a tummy tickler and it lofted perfectly over like a gust of wind came up from under it. (went over like one of them hydroplane boats)
My girl's doing great. She was riding her own bike before she even got out of her back brace. On a skill level she's more of a better rider than some of my frineds that have been riding for a couple or more years. :lol: She's got a klr250 (super sherpa) and it's her first bike ever.

actually, yeah, me and my girl took the bikes out to the Hill Country not too long ago. I love riding out there.

did you check out the SV650 before you got your bike? The SV is actually an awesome track bike. Great for endurance teams on a budget.

why did you pick the 1000RR over any other litre bike such as the R1 or the Gixxer?

Been riding Honda products since I was 13 and they have always out lasted comparable machines (and I beat the crap out of most things). I have truely gotten the feeling that this is the most well rounded machine on the market at this point in time. I ride tight twisties, will be getting in about 5 track days a year (would be taking the 954 back to Loudon on Aug 12 if I did'nt total it last month and wreck my shoulder). I also go on 500+ mile rides in upstate NY and ride 2 up. I feel this machine will do everything I ask of it and more. I was never let down by the 954 and prefered it to my brothers R1 and if the 1000rr is all that and more, then I dont think I could spend my money any wiser.
