Hey guys,
Picked up my 1000RR 2 weeks and this thing is a rocket!!! I can't stop looking at it in the garage waiting for the next mornign when i tear it up the next morning to work.
Sounds awesome with the Jardine exhaust too! I'm waiting to dyno it to check out the improvements.
The best part so far is the taillight kit i picked up! The DR X kit is amazing!!! With all the crazy animations people are more interested in the taillight than the bike. The turn signals are super visible and with the on the fly shit i feel like 007. Check them out at www.vfxkits.com :headbang:
Anyone notice the front end vibration under hard acceleration in 1st and 2nd?

i like the look of the jardine pipes.
The tail light animation kits are a bit too "bling bling" as they say, for me personally.
Do you notice a difference with the wave rotors? how much did they run you and what brand are they?

I like the light as far as brightness, but I'm not much on all those lights dancing around. it looks sweet just as brake and turn sigs.

about the same reply here. also leaning towards old school tastes and that's to have directionals at the sides.
but then I also went on thinking this ...
sounds like someone is trying to push there product
and I said... what's wrong with that if it only stays as simple praise of product and acces (linking) to learning more about it.
I myself am wondering if you work at the shop or are just one intensely impressed customer?
cheers.

geeez ... you guys are a tough crowd :( :(
i bought the wave rotors from www.hardracing.com for $290 a piece. As for the stopping power, i can't comment on the difference with the original since they were installed from the start. don't notice the difference all that much but they sure do look trick. I'm kinda concerned a bit though, my front end seems a bit shaky. Don't know if it's the lighter wave rotors. I'm going to try and play with my fork settings and see if i can iron it out. I didn't think sheddign a couple of pounds would make a big difference with the suspension :?
Check out the pics at http://www.hardracing.com/Brakes/BrakingUSA.htm
for the Dr X Kit, i still feel this is the biggest visual accessory you can get. This thing rocks. As for the bling bling thing ... i'm not a into that stuff either, but this kit get noticed. it's up to you how you use it. you can use it a s a simple integrator or do all the fun stuff... and it's safer... just a very impressed customer, besides VFX is a local company gotta support the home town boys..

right on Derek. :)
with your front end feeling alil shakey it would have nothing to do with the weight loss as you'd thought but more a factor of tires and terrain along with as you mentioned your suspension settings.
try increasing your rebound by a 1/4 turn and see if that does the trick. (both settings should always be exact whether it's compression, rebound, or preload.)
you might want to increase your preload by a turn or two also.
