If I unplug the bike's battery from my PCIII, will the memory still contain the uploaded map when I reconnect it?

I dont know on that one but what you can do is upload your current map into the pc software and save it then you can just download it again if needed.

It should hold the map in the memory just fine if you disconnect it, but I would definitely back it up on your computer just to be safe just use the software and cable that came with it.

I've had my battery off before and it held the map, so you should be ok.

What type of thing can I get other than my laptop to upload maps but doesn't require much space... Some kinda palm pilot.... Anyone know of a cheap version that will work just for swapping map setups from NOS to NON NOS????
