From what I have read, porocity or gaseous pockets which can form during the casting process, have created weak spots resulting in wheel failure.

wheel failure

by this you think the wheel is coming apart or just warping or bending too easy.

the wheel wont come apart due to gas pockets or shrink(air pockets) in the wheel, however, it will fail (bend, crack, or warp) if the severity of the gas or air pocket is too large in size in any given area of the wheel. this should never happen at an OEM manufacturer due to the extensive testing that is required. someone messed up pretty bad somewhere.
