? for you, I just sold my 954 (maybe one of the hardest things was to watch someone ride off on my baby) but it was to get a new one.
you had or have both the 600RR and the 1k. Of the 2 what are the differences between them (for the average rider- who loves to RIDE but doesn't ever get to the track)???
I never post BUT read EVERY weekend for along time now and all your opions are very much appreciated!!!!!!!!
THANKS ALLOT EVERONE!!!!

I got both..depends on what type of riding you like to do..I like having the power and the top speed..the 600 is great but the power of the 1000 is what I prefer..

I definetly like the power that the 954 had, I think stepping down would kinda suck, but at the same time I RARELY ever to the 954 over 150mph... So top speed isn't really a concern but power could be...
I guess I need to go do some test driving... but you never get to ride is somewhere you would want to :x
Handling and weight in the twisties between them what do you think, are they similar?
Do you like the damper on the 1000? I had a scotts and like to be able to control it...
Thanks again Stuna!!!

the damper works great..
the 600 is smaller and lighter and flicks side to side a lil molre easyer,so its a little more fun to ride in the tight turn, but its nowhere as stable as the 1000 at speed, but with the my 1000 is set up its a real joy ride

I got a 54 and a 600RR. Well, had a 600RR. It would be a tough decision for me which one to get. I can tell you, that little 600 is a gas to ride. It's a shit load faster than what you think. Little shit wraps out at almost 16,000 rpm. I live near the mountains and ride twisties alot. 600 was way fun. Ins. was cheaper too. But, like Stuna said, the low end and the torque is something I would miss.........

Thanks for the input guys.
A friend just bought a 04 600 RR and I took it for a NICE tour. VERY stable and light feeling bike. But the power was WAY of base. From the 54 there is NO WAY I can drop down to that, even though I liked the flickability and light feel. I want to nail it and I want it to go... I want to open up 3rd and feel the front leave the ground!
I guess I will be picking up my 1000RR tomorrow evening!!!!
Thanks again guys.

Yeah this weather really sucks...
I have had it now 9 hours and have 29 miles on it, as fast as it is I am averaging like 3 miles an hour.
Man this thing is AWESOME though.
Stuna your right the damper work PERFECT. Very stable bike!!!
