Watched last weekends WSBK races and saw that the leader of the race was not the winner because of the red flag, making it an aggregate timed race. First, what is it. Second, whats the point of having a restart if its all based on time anyway.

Turns out aggregate timing is the total of a racers pre-red flag time and post-red flag times added together. The racer with the lower total time wins the race regardless of who crosses the finish line first. Basically the race becomes a timed event. Learned this on 2 Wheel Tuesday on Speed tonight.
