: Who's Frame Sliders Do You Have?

1) Which sliders are you using?

2) Are you happy with the fit and quality?

3) How much?

4) Where did you get them?

I had a $26 set on my 954 that was made from delrin and they stood up to my lowside very well (not a scratch on the cases) but the ditch wiped the bike out. I think these would have done a good job on the track. Just looking for some feedback and other options.

Thanks.

I had derlin on when I wiped too. It took almost 3/4 inch off. the plastics still didn't rub, but the stator cover was paper thin.

I heard that you don't want the metal ones, as they will not break, and can bust the head of the bolt off if it slides in a deeper sized crack/hole. If the bolt does snap then you have to tap it out which can be a PIA.

I've got these on my 54.

They went on easy and I like the way they look.

I gave $35 for em.

At my local bike shop down in Ky.

I like how those look too MAX but im looking for something that is solid material and will scrub off some speed like if I wipe out at a track day. I might buy the same sliders I bought before and have my friend use them as a template to make me a thicker set out of some Delrin stock he has at his shop. I liked what I had but I think that a 1" or thicker wall thickness would be better with an allen bolt threading into the engine mount.

yea they may not hold up under a high speed crash, I seen a set after a 80mph crash and they were pretty much gone.

How did the rest of the bike hold up? How long did it slide?

- the bike was totalled DUE to expensive fairings :x
- the frame was straight and all... I bought it back from my insurance company and sold it to a friend...

i used the freestyle ingenuity sliders on my 954. though they look like hiway pegs to rest your feet on....which i did :P .....they worked well. i dropped her once on the exhaust side and nothing touched...mirror, exhaust....etc. and the end caps are replaceable.

Intuitive

bought from starcycle, @ $40.00 (frame ad swingarm both)

Had one low speed (15-20mph) get off, the sliders worked perfectly, and hardly even were effected. Saves the plastics on the sides as well without a scratch.

I also have the intuitive swing arm slider/spools.

I've got the shoguns on my Repsol. Easy to instally seem to be good quality. They're there to protect against the 0 mph tip. No illusions of protecting against a triple digit lowside.

I bought Shoguns on Ebay for about 60 dollars. Liked the idea of no cut but uncertain on how well they will stand up if needed. Seem to be of quite good quality. Have not installed yet.

got the same ones, easy install, nice quality but agree with the above about protection doubts. paid 55 on ebay. they have an auction that ends everyday, so no need to go into a bidding war for them.

I bought pro-tek sliders and love them. Make for nice highway pegs, lol. cost me about 50 bucks. Knowing me, they will be helpful in the future.

I use Lightech's They look really nice... They are the racing style true frame sliders, ie. ment to save your frame not your plastics. Some call them frame donuts.
