I have a 02' 954 with less than 5000 miles. micron endcan and pirelli diablo tires, I love this bike :twisted:
I`ve read some comments about the "break in" period in the bike, some ones talking about more mileage, more HP,and of course more speed after this period, my question is:
is that true?, in the 954 how many miles? can I rev high or redline before this period?

You've gone far past the recomended break in period :wink: Go ahead and flog the hell out of that machine. Just be sure to keep up with regular maintenance and you'll be fine :)

out of the two I had they were broken in by 1500 miles and were loose after 3000 miles.
That extra power and what not you were mentioning is part of the talk of the output after the motor is loosened up.
