I've heard of guys drilling holes in the baffles in the stock can by using a long drill bit and going in through the two outlet holes to get some more sound. Just wondering if anyone did this and what it sounds like. Dont think I'm going to replace the pipe on this bike for some time and wanted to know how it sounds before I screw up a perfectly good can.

What sTuna said is right, sound is terrible, couple of guys around here did a 02 GSXR-1000, and the other 01 GSXR-750, I know the sound of their bikes when they pull up(yuck), I dont know about the HP, dont do it! weeeeee

The bike is actually the least expensive part of my lifestyle. Every 2.5 months of mortgage is equal to one 1000rr.

sell the can on ebay for whatever you can get, use that toward a full system! punch it out you will never sell it. or go ahead and do it, then tell us it sound like trash. weeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I drilled a baffle on one of my older bikes and the baffle cames loose in time but that was on an old bike.

well if you can get to it and drill the stock pipes i would do it. if you made the hole real big it would be free flowing which would gain a little more hp but not much. the main thing is getting those cat conv out of there which would help a lot. By the way 2k2954 it looks like you need to up grade to a 1000rr or change your user name because the new stock pipes on the 1000rr will smoke a 954 with $2000 dollars pipes on it. (Thats just it) I :D f u see someone with stock pipes but they have been gutted then u mite just get smoked by them.

I will buy my 1000rr when I can get it for 5g's like I did my 54.... I dont want to be making payments.....
