ok if the rear showa cbr 954 spring is the same as the 929 , then i think the stock spring rate on the 954 is 855lbs/inch (15.3kg/mm) which is what racetech has listed for the stock 929 spring. here is my dilema.. i bought a works performance rear shock on ebay that has a eibach spring which the seller said it was for a 190-210 lb rider (haha) but after looking up the numbers on the spring (38/99 0700.225.0750) i discovered it is rated at 750 lbs which according to different recommendations from the racetech & traxxion sites (penske/ohlins/elka/ RT) it seems that a 850lb rate is borderline soft for a 190lb rider w/o gear. im wondering if i should swap the eibach 750lb spring with the 855lb stock honda/showa spring or could a 750lb eibach spring somehow be ok for a 190lb rider by having a better compound or are they all the same (outside of progressive rate springs & titanium)? :?

i guess a spring is a spring so im gonna sell the 750 lb/in eibach on ebay and put the showa 850 lb/in on the new works shock..

wise choice. You can always tune down the 850 with the low setting but with the 750 you can only set it so high.
once you start hammering the turns big time the extra spring rate will come in handy.
