Ok i'm not looking to go out and spend like 800 bucks per fork on a new ohlins front end or something crazy like that, but i'm definately interested in upgrading the front suspension a bit, like maybe some progressive fork springs or something of that nature.
Has anyone done anything to their 954 forks? Any mods you can recommend? Brands? Open to anything at this point, as it will be a project for this winter :)
(sorry mods if this ishould be in tech/tuning forum!)

change your oil and go to a little bit heavier weight. that'll provide Way different comp. and reb. characteristics.
that way you might not need to go with any different springs.
I think stock weight oil is 7w so if you go with 10w.
that's what I'd do.
and then go to a tech session for susp. setup or plug and chug at the settings with some serious saddle time. :)

1st off ya need to set ur sag and measure stiction.. the stiction on my front forks was 12mm which basically sucks..also,whats ur weight? the stock springs are way to soft for the average 180+ rider. i believe they are .70 kg/mm and the recommended spring rate for a 190lb rider w/o gear is between .90 - 1.0 kg/mm.. i'm planning on sending my forks out to traxxion to get stiffer springs and new valves.. here are some good links on the front suspension, traxxion has virtual max that tells ya the problems with ur stock stuff..
