Hey guys - just bought my 954 a week ago (180 miles on the ticker) and diggin it. Does anyone know where I can find any old reviews on the 954 or old comparos? My searches aren't picking much up.

Thanks guys. Those links give good info on the 02 54. Just out of curiousity, how significant were the changes (if any) from the 02 to the 03 954?

I'm wondering also, seeing as the 954 was considered the more "rideable" of the open class bikes and it's been replaced with a more track-focused 1000, I'm thinking they might try and bring the XX to fill the gap? I know they're night and day (XX is an oinker compared to the 954). Who knows, maybe the next gen VFR will get trimmed down and bigger displacement?

On a completely unrelated note - I've narrowed my slip-on choice to either the Apropovic or the Hindle...jsut have to convince the wife that it's *very* important that I spend yet another $500 on the bike...

There is no diference between 02 and 03 954's except the paint schemes...

Hindle is cheaper but Acropovic is a nicer pipe in my opinion. I think Micron is the way to go though.... The XX is suposedly being rebuilt in 2006 rumored to be a V5 190hp...
