: Frame slider installation, MS Torque please?!?!?!
I need to know the correct amount of torque for my upper engine mount. Just got some Shogun sliders and they bolt into the upper engine mount, they tell me to tighten to the manufacturers suggested amount of torque, so what is it?
cbrjimmy1KRR 08-21-2004, 09:35 PM i read 47 ft lbs. from the manual 8)
1000rr right?
LOL, just like me not to mention my bike, yeah a 1000RR. I looked in the manual, and I did not find the specs for the upper engine mount, do you have the service manual, or did I just skim too fast?

all done guys, thanks, that was fun, got to use my new digi-torque wrech, YAY! Those shoguns sliders fit perfectly, no cutting! $55 on e-bay if you want em, look for the user sliderhouse, you get em pretty quick too.
cbrjimmy1KRR 08-23-2004, 03:03 PM only thing that bothers me about those shoguns is the fact they could go into your case covers in the event of a laydown. but i guess if you lay it down hard enough, they're gonna get messed up anyway.
glad to be of help. ........pics ???
no pics yet, all I have is a crappy camera phone until I find my digital camera, sorry, but I will try to take at least one crappy picture if you want. and hey, thanks for making me feel bad about my sldier choice, now I am all P'noid. Just f*n fantastic.
j/k if I go down hard enough for that to happen, well lets jsut say I don't plan on goin down that hard.
