: any ideas on seat replacement
meatstick 08-23-2004, 09:30 PM Me and my boy rode for 4 hours yesterday. The most riding I have done at once. My boy's busa has the best seat I have ever sat on. I would like to get a replacement for mine and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions.

By-Tor 08-23-2004, 10:09 PM Keep the stock one. I've ridden 12 hours and 500 miles on the 954 before. Put a little more weight on your legs and it will help.
olderRR. 08-23-2004, 10:52 PM I agree with Bytor. Takes a little getting used to, but after a few more miles you will. It's like racing pedal bikes- the soft spongy seats SUCK! Can't move around on them hardly at all.
olderRR. 08-23-2004, 10:54 PM Sorry. Forgot to answer your question. I have a friend that got a corbin and he loves it. We traded once so I could try it. Too soft.
Anonymous 08-24-2004, 01:20 AM Sargent with the matching rear seat cover.... I never got used to my $8,000 bike hurting my ass over a $300 seat....
fukinnuts 08-24-2004, 06:21 PM I've got a Corbin front seat if your interested. It's mint, $150 plus shipping.

Niner54 08-24-2004, 06:31 PM I always kept the stock and never complained. But a friend had the Corbin on his 929 and LOVED, now he has a stock on his RR and bitches all the time. I hated his Corbin it was more slouchy feelin... Took the aggresive feel out of it.

Anonymous 08-24-2004, 07:04 PM Let me tell you, I get loads of compliments on the sargent seats on my bike especialy the rear cover...
fukinnuts 08-24-2004, 08:12 PM I've never sat on a Sargent seat before so I can't say if they are good or bad. I've used Corbin's on my last two bikes with no complaints. I think the Corbin seat looks better, but that's just my opinion. A friend of mine got the matching rear Corbin seat with the removable back rest and it was pretty sweet.

Yeah, yeah... I just been so busy lately, I don't have the time to throw it on ebay.

meatstick 08-25-2004, 03:44 PM fukinnuts, why do you want to sell the seat? It seems like most people here think if the seat is too soft its no good.
fukinnuts 08-25-2004, 09:32 PM I'm selling the seat because I got a matching front and rear Corbin off a friend of mine. So I don't need this one. Also a month ago my bike was stolen :x .
As for people saying it's too soft, I don't know why. It's not soft at all. It's about the same as the stock seat but thicker and it's shaped differently. It doesn't hinder your movement at all. It just keeps your nuts off the tank. You can move left, right, front, to back without a problem.
I'm not just saying this because I want to sell it. My next bike will have a Corbin.
Every year it seems the stock seats just keep getting worse.
Psquared 08-25-2004, 10:15 PM fur it out with some shag fur. No j/k. I like the look of the corbin, but have never put my ass on one to give you an honest opinion.
