ford is now saying wont be made until mid 2005.
That is a bad ass truck
The dodge:

I'm a GM loyalist, but the Silverado SS is pretty sorry compared to the Lightning. They should do it right and put the 8.1 liter from the 2500HD into the SS and supercharge that sucker. Trucks deserve big blocks. Now thats a truck I'd be tempted to buy! The SSR pictured above is a joke. That bitch should have the new C7 Vette motor in it if they want it to be the Camaro replacement. That thing only sells for its looks cause the performance just isnt there.

The SSR is a joke. I like Chevy but their not impressing me. Ford makes a good truck but gas mileage is poor. Dodge is really starting to come out with some impressive stuff. It's about time they starting using the Hemi again.

even w/ the new C7 Vette motor, the SSR is 4760lbs thats 1581lbs more than the vette, but that would sure have helped.

The new Hemi motor is not the same motor of days gone bye. It does have Hemispherically shaped combustion chambers so they can get away with calling it a Hemi. Great for marketing. They have come out with some nice looking stuff lately though.

yea the mileage is bad w/ the lightning this is straight off fordsvt.com: 13 mpg city, 17 mpg highway, for the 2004 & since I was bitching about weight it 4700lbs, but its a real truck unlike the ssr thing

You guys can talk all you want about the gasoline engines.... Diesel is where its at......

the hemi in the dodge pickups is not that much different than in the past, they call it a hemi because of the cylinder head having a hemispherical chamber, it still has pushrods. my old man knows the owner of a dodge dealership and i was able to drive the srt-10. holy fuck!! what a ride!! diesel engines do produce a lot of torque, but they pollute a lot, after 2007, diesel engines have to pass the same emissions standards as do gasoline engines, which they do not right now. ford or chev will probably not make anything as bad ass as the srt-10, nothing substitutes for cubic inches.

diesel sucks after being stuck in a 450 am boo lance for too damn long, I will never buy one so goddamn loud, smelly. Dodge is definitely the way to go if daddy owns a dealership, you got to drive one? WTF why don't you drive one everyday?

Yup, I own a F-350 and a F-550 and both of them stock will take off as fast as my F-150 with a 5.7.

Fuck change the fuel curve and boost the turbo and your in flight..... Diesels are loud but thats what I like... I want to pound my chest while I drive!!!! Dodge Cummins 2500 next year for me..... Speaking of loud the dodge sounds like a VW TDI these days, nice and quiet....

Dont forget the MPG and the price of fuel is much better than gasoline engines....... My friend is getting 24 to the gallon on his 02 F250 powerstroke with the power fuel curve in use.... My six cilinder does worse than that....
