greg....it's BRAKE , not BREAK :P how did the editor miss that???

anyway, i have always thought there is not a more pure form of motorized racing that motorcycle racing. only man and machine. no neck braces, crash cages etc etc.....only a helmet and some cow hide to protect. fuck NASCAR.........i'm sick of getting that crammed down my throat every freakin time i turn on Speed :x

hopefully one day the AMA will balls up and start hitting up more sponsors. until they put some money in it, it won't be any bigger.............and that's a shame.

The only way to turn a motorcycle is to lean it over.

Um, no, it is to countersteer and lean, the lean isn't what turns the bike, the lean is a byproduct of turning the bike, course, this is just me being anal!

Great article!

time to be a gnt....... :P
the faster the rider the less input they put into their bars while turning. they lean it over with their bodies and use the throttle to maintain elevation.
countersteer is more so used when entering a turn at times or flicking through the chicanes along with the transfer of body weight.

Ill have to say im with gnt on that one, when your blasting into a turn so fast that your knee hits the pavment I use my weight to pull that thing over quick to get her turning. True your still countersteering but when going really fast the bike doesnt want to turn so you have to give it a little muscle

If you weight the pegs, you can be somewhat neutral with the bars. Body weight goes a long way............

I do that while going into the curve but once im almost over I let off on the weight on the peggs cause I dont want weight on the peggs if they start to scrubb, that might get bad
