If you have been riding your whole life I dont see why you would settle for a 600.... Get the 1000RR because after two or three mothns you are going to want one anyway....

have you checked on insurance? the 600 will be a lot cheaper.

Do I need a liter bike?.................NO

Would I settle for less?.............HELL NO (assuming it was my only bike)

2K is right, once you got comfortable with the 600, you might start yearning for a bit more power. Nothing wrong with the 600 though, its still more than you might need, but there is always room for more. On the other hand, the 600 is a lower up front cost and Max is right about the insurance. Let us know what you do and welcome to the board.

A friend has the 6 and I have the 1000 I could have NEVER dealt with that thing...

Doesn't pull till 7,000. Very nimble but no balls. But I was coming of off the 954...

2K, very true. Many Thanks for helping and feedback. More like I'll get 1KRR :!: Am also wondering does 1000RR has lots of MODS than 600RR? What is the MAX HP of this site? :? Does CBR1000RR can compare the competition with R1? Please reply me back many thanks! :headbang:

the 1kRR has more then enough power to keep up or hang with the other litres. its the rider who will make the final decisions.

if you havent been riding much on the street, or it has been a long time since you have owned a street bike, i would go with the 600. unless you are a professional road racer, you will never even get the full potential out of the 600. now the insurance cost will probably depend on where you live. you can ride the 600 for a year or 2 to get comfortable and then in 2006 you can get the 1000, by then they will have done some changes to it, it usually goes evey 2 years. either way you will have a blast, welcome to the forum!!! 8)

A friend of mine had the same dilema... 600 or 1000?????

Well, he went with the 600 RR and was really happy!!

Untill I let him ride the 1000RR. He wished he would have bought the 1000.

I have a 954 and I had a 600RR and loved her dearly. RIP my black beauty. But if I had a choice right now? 1000RR. No doubt. I love the litres.

I have heard rumors that there is going to be some major changes coming in '05 on the 600RR. Might be worth it to wait and see .................

The 1000 is the way to go unless your bullin about your experience. Keep in mind that dirt riding is a lot different than street. As far as the RR keepin up with the R1,"Its all the rider". On the liter bikes today just throw a blanket on all of them and take your pick. My two cents

My first bike was a 96 zx-6 (not the R) and it only took me a couple of months to realize I needed more!! I still kept if for 6 years and had a blast! Sold in Oct 2002, and (with an almost excuiating 2 year wait with no bike) I bought the 1KRR! This bike is great!! Go with the Litre!!

here's 10 cents, my 2 cents is free...
