no..we talked about rolling it on in 2nd gear but he didnt roll it on..Shawn just puched and jumpped out about 6 cars on me before I knew what happen..I was closing the gap as we just about hit top speed to about 2 bikes and closing then he let off as we were coming over a hill,he didnt know the parkway..hes 150lbs Im 250 with all my gear..
not bad..but then I ran my boy Ed on his gixxer 1000 3rd gear roll on,hes about 140lbs and we were neck and neck,but he let off as we hit 6th..so no I didnt walk on them given the wieght factor..
im going to adjust Shawns suspension some time this week,,he said his bike was all over the road..
btw..Shawn can ride..all my guys had all but good things to say about him..
looks like we are goin to be addin one more rider to the crew :wink:

hmmm, so sTuna, you have a 100 pound disadvantage, and you still pull on the GSXR-1000? Then you have a 110 pound disadvantage on the other guy, and its even? I take it your racing on turns not a straight? weeee

Shawn is a really good guy.
His suspension is way too stiff. He needs softer springs in the forks but he doesn't want to take them apart again. I told him to sell his forks and get the showas off of a 750. I think he'll be better off with those forks than those cheap Kayabas. He should send the 750 Showas to Thermosman to get reworked for his 1K.

What do you think Stuna? I think he should set the rebound damping in his forks to full stiff, based on the symptoms he described to me.

Damn,

I just realized this. You said you were closing the gap on him. You would friggin chew up and spit out my Duc. Because when Shawn passes me at speed, he gets me by about 10 bike lengths and I can't close in on him for crap!!! But my bike is geared a tooth up on the rear. I may go back to stock gearing for top end runs.

The couple of times me and Shawn ran this past week, I would get the jump on him and he would pass me around 140-150mph.

2 different bikes 2 different riders..plus after Shawn go that big ass jump I had to get in his draft :D im no dummy :wink: and the road was straight as they get..
and anothing thing I didnt start gainin on shawn till we were just about topped out..
my bike pull hard even with me on it..sorry Wheeelie with equal weight riders my 1000 would kill a gixxer 1000 8)

If I remember correctly, your 954 would beat a GSXR-1000 on the highway(your video). man, those Gixxers are slow! lol. weeee
