:? I have a question? Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can get my 954rr to run cooler when stuck in traffic? I thought I was going to cook my nards the other day, when I hit some traffic. Any ideas write back and stay on two wheels. :D

Two things...
1. Replace your coolant with a product called Engine Ice...
2. Kill your engine at stop lights, just flip your kill switch off and then back on so your fan can work...

What is the temp range w/ the ice? the bike seems to like 180* & in traffic will get a little >200* but I don't think I have seen 210*, not sure. What are the real #'s you guys w/ the ice or similar see?

Engine Ice will not make your engine run cooler, temps climb slower, and it cools back to normal a little faster when you get rolling, the only way to lower your temp is to change the thermostat. weeeeee

your engine will still get as hot with engine ice as it does without, but it'll take longer to get there.
and what everybody else said

A while back on 954rr.com I think? a guy was selling a cooler thermostat, kinda high on price but he had to cut it down to make it fit. weeeee

:D Thanks for the replies. Yea, my bike runs at 180 degrees on the hwy. But it goes over 212 when stuck in trafic. There's a lot of trafic here in Orlando Fl. on the city streets. :x Anyway thanks for all the ideas. Stay on two wheels 8) .

I put DEI's black wrap on my headers, I have always wrapped my pipes but this 54 is Ti. they say not to wrap them because it breaks down the Ti quicker, I cant get any straight answer as to how quick though. So fuck it, if they start leaking time to get rid of the slip-on & go full.
Oh shit, I saw a bike that had the can heat wrapped, the other day. Not quite sure what the purpose of that is, hell its behind you @ that point, and he DIDN'T have the header's wrapped and it looked like shit, if it even looked good then fine
