After 5 years of my cars, home and previous motorcycle insured through Allstate, they apparently won't insure my new 03 954 because it's a "sports bike". No shit, Sherlock. Keep in mind I'm 37, married, have had my bike license for 20 years and have NEVER had an accident on a bike. Talk about stupidity. So now I have go frickin shopping around for insurance which is a pain in the ass. State Farm will do it but they say I have to bring over my cars as well.
Sorry, felt like venting...

If you've been with them that long and now they won't insure your bike than fuck em. Take your business elsewhere.

I have State Farm too. They made me bring the car over, but it was worth it. I think the 954 is about $300/yr and I'm 27. single, and only a few years of street riding. They are cheap. Liberty Mutual has been good to a couple friends of mine. Good luck finding the best deal.

I have State Farm and they have been really good to me. I had a '89 600R that I totaled, a '91 CBR600F2 and '93 CBR900RR stolen and my latest 954 is only $42 a month.
The trick is to have a car as your primary vehicle and the bike as secondary. When I insured the 600R, insurance for only the bike was $125 a month. Car and bike-$110 a month. So it was more expensive to only insure the bike even thought I put over 100 miles a day anyway on the bikes.
