Hey hows is everybody doing? I am a new dude. I own a 2003 CBR 954RR black and grey. I love it, except for the fact that I got hit a couple weeks ago. I am ok and hope to get out and ride soon! Does anybody on this board ride close to Chicago? Ride safe and always wear a helmet it saved my life. Peace

Yeah, I got from the rear and lost control of the bike. It happened at an intersection at night. A young girl said she didn't see me and continued through a red light at an entrance ramp onto I-55. My bike is pretty banged up it slid for a ways and is probably going to cost $6,300. My helmet saved my life for sure since I went right into the ground on my head. I was a little banged up, but nothing serious. Thanks for asking. Ride safe and watch out for those cars!

You know there is a lot of people that tell me that they either have been or know someone that was hit from behind at a redlight. I know a guy that was hit in the rear going 55mph out the road. Im glad your ok, did the girl stop or was it a hit and run?

The girl stopped right away, if she didn't I would have been run over! She was in total shock as were the rest of the drivers that witnessed the crash. She was issued a ticket and her insurance is taking care of everything.

Welcome. Sorry about the accident. I am from Schaumburg,IL and I guess people in Northern illinois don't know how to drive their fucking cars without hitting motorcyclists. My brother just got hit a week and a half ago because some stupid asshole in a Dodge Ram blew a red light while my brother was making a left turn in front of him. The guy hit his brakes but it was still to late. His F4 was totalled but he turned out alright. He was geared up with his joe rocket jacket, helmet and gloves (which saved his ass).

Ride safe and always wear a helmet it saved my life

Get this shit though--- the best part of the whole story is that just minutes prior to him getting hit, he pulled over to the side of the road to help out some guy on a Harley (Go figure, a Harley broke down). Then he went on his way and got hit-- Not one person stopped to ask if he was alright. The only person who stopped was the guy who hit him. Seems like a lot of bad shit happening to motorcyclists on Illinois roads lately.

Anyway, hope you get the bike fixed before winter- only a month or two left. Let me know if you want to cruise.

Polished 954, hey thanks for the support. Sorry to hear about your bro. What is worse is the fact that no one stopped to see if he was ok. Your right people in Illinois are really bad. These days I am really paranoid about riding in the city, to many close calls. People just don't give a shit. Anyway, I hope to get my bike back soon. With all this insurance I have gotten new gear that I am dying to use. LOL. Yeah, I would love to ride and Schaumburg is not far from me. I will e-mail when I get my bike fixed. Tell your bro I feel his pain. See ya. Watch yourself out there!
