Looks like I'll be getting an R1 or something. This thing is hideous. And I friggin love Gixxers. So I'm not being biased.

It just kind of urks me that moto designers are making these bikes for 5,5" riders and 150lb riders. What the hell man?!!!!

All of these bikes are so close in performance now, it doesn't make sense to buy based on hp specs anymore. Get what looks good. But, I guess that's nothing new to you guys since most of you all own Hondas anyway.

Suzuki is probably just trying to be different and just jacked everything up.

The 02/03 R1 was dramatically improved when they went to the 04 R1.

The ZX-9R was dramatically improved when they went to the ZX-10R

The 954RR was dramatically improved when they went to the 1000RR.

The new Gixxer 1000 probably wont be anything but incremental.

So all these styling inconveniences probably won't make any differences in performance that the average joe can feel.

what ever the case my be who ever gets ones in my area is still going to get smoked by me :D and the 1000RR looks a hell of alot better..but Mladin is probably gonna smoke everyone on it next season..looks like he has #5 on look down :eek:

I think the new gixxer 1000 for 05 is pretty cool. I'm no gixxer fan at all.
Own a 95' smokin joes 900RR, 01 R1 and an 04R1, may be tempted to have a looksie at the new 05 gixxer1000. I think all it needs is a different exhaust and it's good to go.

At least, we all know how competitive it is in the sportbike world and will continue to be; let's at least thank suzuki for again making a bike claiming to be king again, which in turn will make the other manufacturers try to out do it for 06'. It'll never stop. Every manufacturer is trying to out do each other every other year.........you don't see this kind of cut throat competition among the cars, so let's not really bag on the bikes. All sportbikes are bad ass.
