what kind of tires do you run, either street or track and why. what do you like about them and why won't you run other tires (maybe had a bad experience...be specific)

i have had real good luck with the bridgestone bt012's that came with the 954
i now am running the bt014's and that is the tires i have the most confidence in
tried the michelins and the dunlops and never felt the same feedback that i had with the bt's you may have to try a few brands of your own to see what gives you that feel you want and gives you the most confidence in your own performance no use using a tire someone else really likes if it makes you work harder at ridin

I've had Mich pilot sports, and road the sports I think are ok but they take a while for me to warm up. the pilot roads were ok too but I bought them cause I was putting a lot of Interstate miles on and I thought they would last for a while but they didn't. I've had avons the 45/46 tires I thought they would last a while too but the day on the dyno took a lot of life out of the rear, I liked them pretty good but they didn't stick like I thought they would. I've had Bridgestone 012 and liked them they warmed up decent and stuck good and lasted pretty good. I am running the 014's now but I haven't got to put a lot of miles on them so far but from what I have put on them I like them better than the 012's. and last but not lest I've had some Pirelli diablos, they were good tires, warmed up fast and stuck good and I got more miles out of these than any of the rest.

I've also bought race take off's Dunlop 208 gp's and they get sticky, I got a full track day out of them and the middles still have a lot of tread left.

I'm going to try the new Mich. next, the powers, and see how I like them.

I had all of these tires on my 954, I could go into other tires on other bikes but I don't think I could remeber em all.

1 being my favorite:

1. the gp's $75 off of ebay and I could still get 1000 miles out of em easy.
2. the bt014's
3. the diablos
4. the bt012's
5. the avons
6. pilot sports
7. pilot roads

I have the diablo corsas and they stick real good in the dry. I got behind a freind of mine and he was on a RC51 and he was sliding all over the place on 208's and I stuck like glue.
I really think they are one of the stickiest tire for the road but I will say that in the rain unlike perillies claim they let go real easy.

I run Pirelli Diablos....so far I really like them. Rode pretty hard today and they preformed great. Just had a lil slide powering out of corners. I saw somewhere where Pirelli recommends the Diablos if you ride 70% street and 30% track and the Diablo Corsas if you ride 30% street and 70% track.

diablos super corsa, got them cheap :D
I was told by Ben Bostrom that any of the tires out there will work just fine because unless your really good rider or a pro most people will not use a little of what their tire is capable of not even the guys doing track days.

Pirelli Super Corsa's!!! Super soft compound front and soft compound rear. 180 rear!
They only take a few miles to warm up.
