Hey everyone, I was wondering how many of you ride with leather jackets? If you do how much does rain affect them? Also how do you clean them? Oh and what kind of jacket do you have? I have an Alpinestar Bostrom jacket and I love it worth every penny!

Yes I ride with a Fieldsheer. It's heavy, but saved my butt 2x now. Rain does not appear to affect it and that's how I clean it... rain. It seems a waste of time to clean something and have it destroyed by a good crash. Same goes for the bike, no cleaning. When the bike gets crashed, the new plastics are clean and so starts the process over again. :twisted:

Leather is the only way to go.

I can deal with dirty leather, but a dirty bike gives me seizures.

Most leathers are rain resistant pretty well unless you have prefferated. As far as cleaning whats that :wink: Bug juices are all over mine.

I dont agree with junkie crashin sucks and is expensive so try to avoid that :D

Dirty leathers and a dirty bike. I have year old bug guts on my leathers and there is bird shit on the wind screen of my 1000rr from mid September. :lol:

cleaning the guts off isnt really that tough
but mine smell, not from BO, but like a smelly bike
sucks not going anywhere nice on the bike w/out smelling like a bike

vanson makes some tight shit for leather jackets, no bullshit quality classic looking shit, some of its serious shit too

i think its pointless to buy one of those flashy jackets thats going to get torn to all shit when you go down, fuckin waste, might as well wear no gear or whatever, it wont stop shit and youll have to buy something new if you do go down, not that your jacket is, i never even seen the kind you rockin, just sayin i dig vanson cause they got some sturdy fuckin shit

I have an ICON now and I like it, Live in Florida so leather jackets tend to get worn a little less. The ICON is the Ti-Max Mess and I ordered the Miline cause I have never seen anyone with it.

i used to ride with my yellow and black all leather Honda jacket. i never cleaned it. but the bike.............non existent.
