hey guys,
first off what up everybody new member. i have a question about my 954 frame.
i'm in the process of polishing my swingarm. let's say it's a pain breaking through the
anodizing on the swingarm. so when i start with the frame i was wondering if i
could use aircraft paint remover,since the frame is factory powdercoated.

It works on the rims so I don't see why it shouldn't work on the frame

As far as polishing your frame, the top portion of the frame (the smooth part) you don't need to use any paint stripper on it. Just start off using a 600 grit sandpaper and wet sand that whole part by hand, repeating the process through all of the grits.
The hardest part of doing the frame is the rough section behind the weld (closer to the rear). That part is a bitch. I would recommend using a dremmel, oscilating sander or someting of that nature to get through this section-- this is the section that you might want to consider using paint stripper on. But you are still going to have to sand the shit out of it in order for it to hold a shine and look good. Eitherway, you will probably not have any fingerprints left ... (which isn't really a bad thing :twisted: )

no.....they're all black, with the silver/aluminum swingarm. i wish honda would do the swingarm black, but that's even more added weight...huh wheelie??
