if that bike is really cranking out the kind of HP it should have a 190mph top speed..
with a full pipe 170+HP? thats alot of power..I can wait to see what these bikes do on the streets..

Stuna,

I don't think the new bikes are going to be that responsive to a full exhaust. These stock exhausts are as good as they come. Most people only got about 4hp from a full system on the 03 Gixxers.

Also, Aerodynamics is just as important as horsepower when it comes to top speed. That is why a hayabusa will still probably spank it up top.

If we hook up this year at Pocono, I'll let you ride the CBR1000RR on the track 1 time. Just don't bin it.

They don't know what they're talking about. The ZX-9R and the ZX-7R handled great. Great front ends. Very stable!!!!!

My friend has a ZX9R, and I've taken it for a couple of spins on the twisties, and my 54 does better. That's what they saidtoo after riding my bike, but maybe it's all on personal opinion... :?

True,

But that 954RR definately needs a steering damper. Stock for Stock, I'll take a ZX-9R. If the 954 has a damper than I'll take that. It turns in a lot faster. Nothing flicks in faster than a 954. Nothing. That should be named, the fastest flicking production bike.

Don't feel bad for the Honda. It makes it's peak torque 1000rpm sooner than the competition.

A freind of mine has a ZX-7R and a RC-51, he blisters the 51 through the curves but says that he likes the 7R better that its faster in the curves. I dont know this first hand I've only rode with him on the 51 and hes pretty freckin quick :!: He is an old moto guy and loves to back em in all the time, fine by me its his tires.
Says he loves the 51 for coming out of the curves spinning the back wheel, I think he only gets about 700 miles out of the rear tire :!:

Torque doesnt win at the drag strip, or top speed. weeeee

Horsepower wins sales. Torque wins races. Hondas RC2llV is down 20-30hp to some of the other bikes like Ducati, Aprilia, Kawasaki. But they have a much better torque curve. The results speak for themselves.

Sorry Wheelie, I have to disagree with this. The ZX-12 Outpowers the Busa, but the busa was faster in the Quarter mile and in top speed. The Busa has 10 more ftlbs of torque. It makes a huge difference.

whoever told you the 211v was down 20-30 hp on any of those manufacturers is smoking the rock bro.
the 211v is currently rated at 240hp. the duc (gp4) is at 230hp and the others are likely in or around the 220-230 range as well.

The Busa wins at the drag strip because it can launch harder, the 12 is more wheelie prone, plus everyone knows the magazines are Suzuki lovers, top speed? Busa is more aerodynamic, I thought they both do 186, 12 motor in a Busa frame? Rich can have the say on this. weeeee

Wheelie is right, it's all about who gets the better launch. You could put a great rider on a 600 and a really shitty rider on a busa and 9chances out of 10, the great rider on the 600 will still win, if he gets the launch

You are only partially right. The NEW RC211V is putting out 240hp. But that figure is not at the rear wheel. Other bikes are still putting out more to the rear. Last years bike was capable of the same thing (240hp), but it was detuned to get the power to the ground better. I'll try and find some proof to back up my statements. Give me a few days.

The busa also wins roll ons due to it's "Torque" advantage. Not much skill needed there, now is there?

I always thought it was

Horsepower wins races..
Torque sells deisel trucks....

As far as the Bus top end is total areodynamics......

As for the drag strip the Busa is much lower than the 12 right out of the box... I had my 12 parked by a stock busa... Mines dropped little over inch in front and about same rear.... He was still lower... As we know lower is better on the strip...

When they put a short shit on Like Keith Dennis naturally he's going to excel on a short bike...

Roll on.... Big deal who races roll ons.... They don't do shit fer me...

The 12 reminds me alot like a 2 stroke with its brutal hit around 6500 to 7000.... Nuthin low but when your there your there...

Check the magazines trap speed on the Busa and the 12 1/4 mile. Why does the 12 have more mph? weeeeee
