its me again guys. so for so many questions the new bike seems to be smoking when its idleing and while rideing it. my buddy said that when i get on it it smokes. i don't remember my r6 smoking when i rode it . any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated. thanxxx

In my experience it's normal. I wondered the same thing until I rode with some other 1000rr's...they all do it. At least the ones I've ridden with.

Its normal, I noticed when i put a camera on the back of my bike coming down a mnt it would load up and let a little smoke out, Its normal! :D

White smoke? That's a different story, mine is dark not white. I hammered mine hard out of the box so I should be in good shape.

I to get smoke but it is dark smoke and only when cold. When it's warmed up, nothing at all. I break mine in hard as well though so the rings seat quickly.

Had the same problem with mine. Bike runs fine. Keep an eye on it though. :wink:

White smoke can be caused by the packing in the muffler burning in. Completely normal. :)
