picked it up lastnight..looks like a sweet piece..much easyer the adjust then the scotts,pretty simple,one knob,no clicks it turns smooth with the littlest turn it stiffens up..the mounting bracket is much better then the Scotts and faster to mount,no stupid lil alankey bolts to turn,very clean looking..im impressed cant wait to slap it on and try it out when the weather gets warmer..

its about the same size..i think it weights a little more then the scoots from what i remember..
its heavy duty! that mounting bracket is nice and thick very nice looking damper..
thats it..my 600RR is complete..cant wait till the weather gets nice..

read the directions..its easy..just use some Loctite on ever screw..
or see if they will refund your $..I never liked the Scotts..tomuch bullshit to deal with on that damper..

as for the guy who crashed ,it wasnt the dampers fault..

i think we came to the conclusion that it was user error. ...mounted up wrong. i was looking for the thread, but couldn't find it :roll:

I crashed a wheelie when I had the scotts on.... but it wasn't me who blamed it on the damper.... I just fucked up.. :lol:

I believe they are the same GPR and scotts, just the mounting is different and adjustment knob is bigger on the GPR.

yeah its the same idea as the scoots but just a little different..better mounting hardware and easyer to adjust and like i said it looks more solid/heavy duty..i like trying new things so ill try this out,if it doesnt feel good to me ill sell it and get a Olhins :wink:

I got it from my boys over here they own a repair shop..there the only shop that can get them in NYC area..or mail order/intrernet but I rather give them the $..$380 shipped aint bad..plus once everyone gets alook at it and ask's where i got it from im sure they will sell alot more because of me.. :wink:

Any Lockhart Phillips dealer can get them. I still would never go to a GPR if I already owned a Scotts..... Keep that shit...

I had the Scoots and i didnt like it..tomuch of a pain in the ass to adjust it on the fly with that small ass knob..the Ohlins was great!! but I like trying new shit out,the GRP looks like a nice damper so ill let you all know if its a good piece..

Didnt Ohlins have something to do with the design of the Scotts????

yeah they did..I think it is a Ohlins with the Scoots name on it..imnot sure how that works..

when your topped or just pushing it a little bit in a turn and you hit one of the transactions/bumps from black to cement and you get a some nice head shake(like i did)and you almost shit your self!! yeah a damper is a good idea..
it happened once before my suspension work..I didnt get a chance to test the bike out with the suspension but I had the $ so I ordered a damper over the winter.

my bike is done..
but now im thinking about making it might go by by :wink: and be a trackday only bike :eek:

I just put a scotts on my 954 the other day and went riding. I still need to fiddle with it a little bit but its working very well. Huge difference, try what stunna said. I really like mine I did a 105mph wheelie, landing was real smoth.

Yeah i have my Ohlins dampner who knows how many times it saved me from a slapper. Everyone should get that mod on there bike its good insurance.
