I am about to order a lowering link and a strap and possibly a bolt on extension for the track so I can switch back and forth. My question is what do you do about the kickstand? It is too long so do you cut it? Cut and reweld the foot? Or buy a shorter one. I am not sure which way to go but I don't want to keep the bike lowered, just when it's going to the strip so once it's cut, it will be too short to use at stock height.

Any of you guys do this and if so, what was your solution?

I have seen those wheelie, will they fit an RR though? I don't know if the bolt pattern is different or not.

I guess I can ask good old Mr Ray when I order my lowering straps and links on Tuesday because he is who is supplying my stuff anyway. If I can get the kickstand as well, it will make shipping cheaper.

Just hate sounding like a dumbass when I don't know if all kickstands are created equal.

Chop it and weld it!
Approximately 1 1/2" from kickstand to 4" of suspension drop. cut a little then place the foot under the cut off area and see if it has enough lean. Pretty basic.
What I do when I weld the foot on, I place it under the kickstand area and lean the bike onto it and tack weld it ... take it off and then finish the weld. This ensures the foot will set flat once on the ground.
Oh, almost forgot... I use an abrasive wheel on a die grinder to chop the kickstand. You can keep the angles very close to what they were on the previous cut and you can use it to fine tune the placement of the foot prior to welding.
