Wheelie

weeeeee, strollin along the highway did my first wheelie in 2004, wheeliein along and wouldn't you know it? A cop on the other side of the highway taking radar, set the front wheel down, slowed from 100mph to 65, guess he didn't see me, so, off to I20 for more fun, (didn't see any cops) lots of 100mph+ wheelies about a mile or so long, beautiful day in Dallas Texas today, 70 degrees, but alot of wind. My 954 hit's around 100mph and the wheelie just stay's there, not really bumping the throttle, pretty much leave it at one speed and go for a while on the back tire. FUN FUN FUN, weeeeeeeeeeeeehttp://flashpages.prodigy.net/wheelie/_uimages/DSCN0565.JPG

Sorry wheelie, Im in north carolina! Im still gettin used to the 954 and am learning myself that right at 100 is the right spot for a good wheelie!
For some reason im having trouble gettin it to come up in second,"sometimes sometimes not".Sometimes it is as if im in 1st.
I start out in 1st and shift up, the other day I got into third, its gettin better, still got some more work to go. Done my 1st stand up the other day, hurt my broken leg so ill have to hold off until I heal up a bit, done it real smooth though. Ill be practicin that back tire ridin. We have the same bike color scheme. 8)

Ive tried clutchin and obviosly im doin something wrong cause ill cluth in 2nd and it doesnt come up.
However I can be goin up a grade and at about 8 to 9 grand pop the throttle and it will come up. A lot of times though in a straight I can do the same thing and it wont come up.
Im not about to try clutchin in 1st it will roll over on top of me. 8)

Good to know that the 954 can do easy wheelies.

I am still a wheelie-virgin....

I have read the tutorials but the always go like this...

You get into second gear - yadda yadda yadda - pop the wheelie

Can you explain in laymans terms what do I have to do with the clutch to do the wheelie?

:?:

You know ive seen my 1st honda the other day, sick thats all i can say. However I beleive id wait till the r1 come out with stats cause my brothers 02 is just solid bad ass. I rode it today actually and it really feels more solid than my 54, although i did drag the peg sunday for the first time on this bike. Its always nervracking doin that for the first time on a bike until you know it will do it. My brothers r1 will pull a wheelie in third with me so I know it has more balls than my 54. Still like my 54 though :!: 8)
