Cool site.

I do agree about the steering damper though. I have a great deal of knowledge when it comes to geometry and physics so if you like I have a better idea for your mounts. You should only have to change the steering stem mount and you can keep the frame mount.

PM me if would like to discuss my idea.

Not bashing, just looking to help you optimise the performance of the damper. The way I see it, you can't have much more than 1 to 1.5 inches of stroke on the damper with the current mounting system.

Yea the damper is a short stroke but the damper only needs to work within 1" when you get a wobble. It does move lock to lock and I acually liked it better than the Scotts I replaced it with.

I have had 2 second gear tank slappers that scared the mess out of me and since I put that on it has quelled it quite a bit.

Thanks,
Dave

fuck yeah dave, one hint though, telling people who steal your bikes how to steal them, the wired ignition, maybe not the best idea. hahahahahahahah

Well the first one a 1991 CBR F2 they pulled the ignition, found it on the ground.

Second one was a 1993 CBR900 I had put on a round key ignition, simular kill wire, Ubolt lock on rear tire and padlock in front disk and still stolen.

That wire is only if they pull the key ignition and try to drive off, not if they bring a truck. I just don't park anywhere out of site now except the garage.

No offense bro, but are you that tight with your wallet or do you just like being inventive? your ram air I would have frenched it into the upper fairing..it looks like you have two shot gun barrels sticking out.

I would say a little bit of both.. :D I like the look on peoples faces when they see it. :?
Just like the pipe, why spend $500 for a slip on when I spent $<40 and looks/sounds just as good? Also if it gets stolen I have pictures so insurance covers repacement costs.

And like my front blinkers, it was cheap by using the front reflectors, but also unique that I am the only one with those.

Thanks for all the honesty, to each his own.

I love the flush mounts you made. You have any more info on the construction and parts you used to make them?

By-Tor, I used the front reflectors next to the calipers. Next time I change the oil or something I will get detailed pictures.

First you have to remove the reflectors off the backing plate carefully. I cut them down with a dremel to fit centered. I used a bolt and nuts to hold the back of the reflector against the stock rubber grommet.(not too tight as not to crack the reflector. Can use $1.99 ones from Autozone if you do like I did.) I then added LED's from Autozone to the back. The LED's are $5 each (2 Pack) and the holders are $3 each. They are the blade type.

Thats some cool shtuff you did man, nice job. One thing though, the license plate light, are the cops out there in Vegas that picky about all that lighting & stuff. I live in MI & I took my tag light off & chucked it, haven't been even so much as questioned about it. I guess each state has their own set of laws. In MI you are not required to have turn signals on your bike, but you must use hand signals if you dont have them.
