well, cisco came by on the rr'a, went to shoot some wheelie video, that didnt work, 20mph crosswind, to dangerous, so we swap rides! We were at a place where there is not much traffic and the roads are new, first the rr is short in the seating area, I cant tuck for high speed runs, its made for short guys, not 6'4" monkeys, made a few sweepers at around 100+mph on Gixxie and the rr'a, Gixxie seems more planted, the rr feels lighter, rr wants to lean but just doesnt seem as stable as Gixxie, but I only rode it a couple of rounds on the sweepers, rr is very flickable even at 100mph, the rr feels lighter in the steering with the HESD damper (Honda-Eliminated-Suzuki-Dominated) get it HESD LOL anyway this is a street test not a track test, so! The Honda wants to turn quicker, but Gixxie feels more stable to me, cisco motioned to me to wheelie it, 3rd at 60 it didnt want to come up, felt like the clutch slipped a little, and I coulndt scoot back on the seat (no room)of course im not use to the rr, I didnt want to try again and possible toast the clutch so I slowed to first banged second, it popped right up with ease, again the rr felt very light in a wheelie plus the strong cross wind I didnt wheelie a long distance, landing was solid, my conclusion? The 1000rr rides just like the 954, but its been a while since I had mine but that how I remember mine, typical Honda engineering, a track bike that is street legal, fun to ride! ps where is that 466 pounds hiding? weeeeeeeeeeee

my last sport bike was the gsxr-11,
my initial impression of the 54 was pretty much what you just said

man, that was fun to read. and you struck a bit of a nerve with the comment of the RR being worthy at track and street. 'cause every gixxer I've riden between the 03 750 to the 04 G1K they all seemed like they wanted to be pounded into a corener and held there instead of the RR's want to slice the corner with a knife... henceforth fireblade...
like the RR's ergos weren't as aggressive and same with it's geometry and handling from so....

how was the power delivery in comparison?

that's what I need to hear. :D
it'll give me more to laugh at when my friend on his G1K can't keepup with me on any of the roads around here. :D :D :D

better handling? raw enough power to stay in check with the handling?

as long as it's a few steps above the 954 and fun to ride it's More than worth my money. :D

now I can't wait for yer words cisco. :) c'mon, get detailed and objective. I'm curious.

Nice write up wheelie. I bet the Clutch it up un 3rd problem was just you not being used to the bike. I've heard of plenty of guys doing it with ease. I know it's hard to beat on another guys ride though.

So the power is pretty close huh? Is that his slip on compared to your full Akropovic, or his slip on compared to yours stock?

Wonder how they compare full system vs full system?

Ask Dirty1000 on that he owned both, Dirty raced me when I had a full Yosh and he had ciscos slipon, then we raced Akra to Akra, same results, ciscos bike only has 400? miles on it so I didnt hammer on it, it didnt feel very strong, but that what I said about my 954, it would run the same mph in the 1/8th mile as my Busa, the 954 felt weak but the time slip said different. weeee

are you taking into consideration:
1. I can't die.
2. I've taken them before. (can you handle a two wheel slide through the entire apex?)
3. size aint shit when you're fucking with a lunatic.

and that if I win I get your gixxie and if you win you only get admin and a gsx-f?

c'mon. I'll sacrifice my cross counry trip for this. :finger:

Okay hear it goes ,I'm no match to Wheelie riding he has always been able to take me, on the busa maybe only once I was able to lead him bye one and half bike links. My opnion on his bike is almost opposite of mine I feel the RR is more stable then his but that is byast since Ive been riding mine for about two weeks so I'm not used to his bike. And when we had the race on switched bikes I did not get maximum power out of his bike so the difference could have been way differnt .

That was a pretty nice write up wheelie, I personally may be switching back to Zuk in 06 for the 1k. I never buy the first year of a bike other than the current one I have now. Love it to death but I like to change and I am far from brand loyal although I have owned 3 Zuks in the past.

Wheelie, do you ever make it down to San Antonio (or is there anybody in this forum that's in the area?) I just moved here in early Feb and finally got my 1krr ready to ride the is weekend. Haven't taken it on a big ride yet (still trying to unpack the house!!), but can't wait...

5 hours from Dallas? No never make it there? Not sure if there are any riders here from that area. If your in Dallas on a Saturday night let me know, you can hang out with us at Whataburger, then make the ride around Dallas. weee

If I get up there to that area (my grandma in-law lives in grapevine area), I'll definately take you up on the offer. I guess I have to invest in a good trailer! 8)

I have to agree with wheelie on the gixxer being planted. 03 gixxer 1000 vs. my 954, it felt a lot more planted. It would take a better rider to make one of them faster than the other thou.
