I started my bike up this morning, and i noticed a kind of ticking sound, it's always kind of there, i think it's worse when i first start it, but, it could just be me wearing my helmet... i don't know... Anyway, didn't know if that's normal or what? btw the bike has around 10k miles now, and didn't know if it needed to get the valves adjusted or what? anyway, just point me in the right direction ;) thanks again guys~

its nothing to worry about. do you have aftermarket exhaust?

if not that helps a lot, not hearing all the little sounds.

You can hear the fuel injectors working on these bikes and it sounds like ticking.

Nothing to worry about.

I think the manual suggests 26,000 miles.

I'm almost positive the valve adjustment is at 16,000. That's when I had it done. My bike always ticks right after I start it for a little while too. (always has) I always figured it hadn't got oil pumped up top yet. I was told by my mech. that it was normal.
