I finally got some riding in the other day. Been teaching the wife every weekend how to ride her 600. It's been the only bike I have been on in awhile. I jumped on the 54 a couple of days after putting my damper on and all I can say is Holy Shit that bike gives me a woody. Anybody who has lost appreciation for the 54, get on some smaller bike for a couple of weeks and then throw your leg over the 54 again. You'll look at it different. You almost take it for granted after awhile. I love my 54. Think I'm pumped up I am!

Probably like the rest of you guys I've ridden a bunch of different bikes from a couple different companies. In my opinion there is no better bike than the 54! Honda probably got as close as they could to making the perfect bike when they designed and built the 54. From looks, to seating position, to power, to length of wheelbase, to weight there isn't one bike I've been on that feels as good as the 54. I haven't ridden the 1000rr yet. I think it looks bad ass, but when it comes to track/street/stunting the 954 seems like it is better. Do you think Honda will ever build another bike like the 54? I hope so.

Feel the same way bro...I have a 04 f4i that the wife rides occasionally and if she doesnt ride it for a while I will take it out for the day to get the coob webs out of it..Then when i get back the the 54 its always seems like a whole new ball game.

I have riden the 1k and its nice, but I still like the 54 better. I hope honda on the next model change moves back to something with the power of the 1k but the feel of the 54.

Hey bud! I know EXACTLY what you mean. Last year I bought a 600RR for my wife. (Black one.. She was beautiful) And I spent quite a while breaking in the 600. It's a killer bike! WAYYY fun to ride. But like you said. After a couple months, threw a leg over the 54 and just about shit my pants. I too, gained a whole new respect for the 54. It's a SWEET ride!

How's your wife doing? I'll bet she's loving the hell out of her bike! I did the same thing with my wife. We practiced in parking lots for a long time. She was doing freeway on/off ramps pretty good and riding the twisties pretty damn well also, when we had our accident. We're getting a new bike this summer. Not sure what, yet. I think my wife may be leaning towards another black 600RR. Maybe if I push just a little...........
:D

It's great to hear you two are having so much fun. It's cool as hell, isn't it????
:D :D :D :D :D
