I think the next thing for my bke is to get the wheels chromed. Anyone notice any performance differences with the extra weight on the rims? I dont think it would be that signifcant but still.........weight is weight and you dont want extra weigh on the wheels. I was thinking of upgrading to ceramic bearing at the same time. Any thoughts?

As far as feeling a weight difference I never noticed anything. It still pulls the front up with no problem! Chrome rims look sweeeeettt!!!! It will definetely change the look of your bike. I put the factory bearings back in. Besides chroming the wheels I had the rotors polished.

I recently finished polishing my front wheel- it looks good. BUT not as good as chrome. Spend the money and get 'em chromed. If I had the money, that is what I would do.

im not sure what style of riding he or you do, but i think he might be talking about the extra weight in chrome wheels effecting performance such as turn-in, etc, not wheelie performance...but i may be wrong. That said, im not sure how much weight a chromed wheel adds, but if its like a pound, thats actually alot when its in motion.

it adds no weight................ my bro got chrome and were weighed no diffrence......................the process takes some alum off in the process and then add the chrome..........so like stock weight when done........
