I went to a Hawk Racing day at Loudon yesterday. I took the Honda and the KTM. Anyone want to buy a 954? The KTM rocks! 8) Everyone needs a motard!!! Even on the dual sport tires it handles great. The light weight is awesome. The wide bars are great for leverage too. Hey Turbo - I was even able to run with a 999 until the straight. I reeled in a Z1000 and passed him. Great fun. Too bad the top end isn't high enough. I changed the rear sprocket from a 45 to a 38 and that helped, but I still need more. Maybe I will add the 5th and 6th gears sooner than I thought.

and yeah, I can walk over a bunch of sportbikes with my klr until the straights come... Love them dual sports. :D

Hell yeah VT!!!!!!!!!!! I hear the 5th and 6th gear mod is the hot ticket on those KTM's.

So how was the track? I bet that KTM soaked up the transition in turn 3 like it wasn't even there.

Hey Turbo - I was even able to run with a 999 until the straight.

I believe it. At my last trackday, one of the control riders was on a motard and he was right on my ass and could pass me at will. There were no straights on the track though. It was pocono east. The back straight only allows for 120mph - 130mph.

GNT - only a four speed. :x It will fly with the sixer. Maybe this winter.

By - the june date is sold out. too bad. Same cost as the Hawk day. I am planning on going to Canada this sunday for a test day. Anyone want to come? Just north of Montreal.

What transition in 3? :D If I drifted wide, I could notice it, but if I kept tighter it was butter. Too bad we couldn't pass on the inside..

Turbo, one of our control guys was on an 05 KTM SMR. SO fast. Unreal. He blew by me all over the track. Cool to watch. I tried to hang, but couldn't. You doing any Tony's days? Maybe we will all meet up at one this summer.

Turbo was supposed to do the June date with me but he bitched out. I'l be there with 5 others.

Turbo said he will make it there on one of the Tony's days though.
