Here is my view. Whether the Starboyz are around or not, people are going to be trying shit on a bike. Now this article isn't bashing the Starboyz and I'm glad to see that.
What pisses me off the general view of people who ride sport bikes. We are no more dangerous than the people on poker runs that stop at all the bars and drink beer.
At least when I ride, I'm sober. So is the rest of my crew.

If Kellen Winslow was trying to imitate the Starboyz, shame on him. It's his own fault he trashed the bike.

I agree Kellen Winslow is stupid. The view of sportbikers in general is based on stunters like the Star Boyz. People are not out stunting on Harley's. No matter what this brings a negative bias to sportbikers. I don't know when or if this negative vibe is going to change?

It will never change. I agree that it is wrong for people on poker runs to drink and drive. However, due to the speed of sport bikes and the ability to stunt when things go wrong people are usually more easily killed and the injuries are more severe.

No one will remember a drunk Harley rider who dumped his shit in the parking lot because he was riding with the kickstand down or forgot that he was in gravel. But the guy on the sport bike who died because he fell off the back of his bike doing a 120 mph wheelie down the highway will be remembered and talked about for a while, and every time someone sees a sport bike they will be viewed as reckless morons because of the actions of one person.

Public opinion is controlled by the media and as long as people are dieing on sport bikes, then that is what people are going to hear about and that is how the public going to view us weather we like it or not..

and the rest of us who leave every red light on the back wheel and scare the shit out of people by blowing past them on the highway aren't helping much either. but thats still fun

Easy Jimmy, EK was my hero growing up. He was the shit before his time. Next to Super Dave Osborne, EK was the man. LOL

BTW I remember the Grand Canyon attempt.

what, anyone who attributes to another person responsibility for their own actions is a fuckin fagget. thats it. people who think like that suck too. if you dont have the time to explain the specifics of certain things to your children when they ARE impressionable, and the importance of not being concerned with others actions, your kid will have to learn a bit of shit through experience, and wont benefit much from you being their parent. thats the only time i can think of when the issue might not be so clear cut. whatever, i blame black people

Anybody can wreck on a bike, shit happens. It's Kellen winlow's fault he wrecked. It's his responsibility, his bike.

Justin, i'm pretty sure when you and your guys came to Erie, a lopt of the guys on cruisers were getting drunk at Elk Creek Inn.

Guys on sportbikes get a bad rap, it may never change.

+1!! Like I've said before, now I'm getting pissed off again, if you don't ride a bike you don't know why we do what we do. Its like most things out there, if its not popular with the general population it must be wrong. Well guess what it is a free fucking country the last time I checked. The Starboyz are making money at what they love to do. God bless them!! If you don't like it don't watch them.

One asshole wrecks his bike and oh no the world is coming to an end. What most people don't understand is the guy who is riding the bike on one wheel probably has more control than the dickhead on four wheels. Screw em, public opinion is never going to change. As long as I'm not putting anybody else in risk I'll continue to wheelie!
