I'll be picking up my 1KRR in a few days.

First mod will be the PC3-USB (already on order). Next up will be exhaust. I've seen Arrow's pre-prod stuff, and it looks pretty good. Anybody seen any other information on CBR1K exhaust yet, from any other companies?

I'll probably go with a slip-on, but I'll make the final call once the bike is broken in. I'm not looking for all-out highest HP, but smoothest power/torque curve.

Here's Arrow's website, for those who haven't seen it - click on "photos":

I think a full Hindle,Arata,Arrow and Akrapovic are all good choices
#1 Akrapovic
#2 Arata
#3Arrow
#4 Hindle

Why hold off on the PC?

because Stuna's a firm believer of not riding in low rpms for any period of time to have to deal with any luls in throttle response that 'might' be there. ;)
I say might because how would he know? He's almost always wfo with his big 'ol 600 with the full akra.

no, for real, in his experiences and with his friends experiences their bikes ran fine without the pc with full systems or what have you. As the Stuna has mentioned many times over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over :lmao:   Sorry Stuna. I just felt like you may have gotten sick of going through it all again not to mention I'm soooo bored as of lately while waiting for the weather to come around.

yeah you could save the $ and have pretty much the same rwhp than with it but I personally appreciated the smoothness of the custom map with my full akra on the 954 over any of the variations from stock to the full with the map.
There were times in certain turns in the deep woods that there were imperfections in the road, or in the road conditions that I was unwilling to have any off beats in my throttle response in lower rpms so that's my main point besides wnating more gadgeting ability to fine tune my bitch for the perfectionist freak I am when it comes to my rides. :D

besides holding it open top end..my bikes all had great low and mid power..
im not saying everyones bike will run fine with a full exhaust with out a PC but its worth a try before spending $300-$350 on one and $200-$300 for a stupid fucking map that might get you 1hp-3hp in a certain RPM range..like the HP might drop 1-3hp at 5000-5500 and go right back up as the rpm get higher..just not worth it unless you bike is running like shit..
my 600rr ran a little rough for a few minutes and it cleaned right up and ran great..250lbs with gear on and the 600rr comes up with throttle in 2nd gear with easy..

If you live where the air is 90+ % humid, you may have to run a PC. Around here bikes run richer with a full and no PC.

I fully plan of breaking in the bike before anything goes on it. I'm just able to get the PC3 for slightly over cost, and the PCIIIr made a big difference on my RC51 with full Akrapovic Ti Race system.

I'd agree that, based on the 1000RR's dyno charts so far, it doesn't need a PC3 - it's about as smooth as it gets.
