I forgot about that smoking SV deal you got. I'm still jealous.

How do you like the SV on the track?

It hooks up really well, you can be on the throttle in the corners more than the big bikes. sv good for little tracks and curves. I was catching the big bikes in the corners then they would leave me in the straight.

Here's a helpful tip,

If you want to get through the turn better, try to kiss the inside mirror. If you're comfortable the way you are, then that's cool I guess. But aim through the turn with your head. It will help you a lot.

I'll give it a try, When I get out there Ithink to myself I need to get my head over my hand but I never do.

Dan,

One of my little secrets is to rest your rib on the tank. When turning left, rest your right rib on the left side of the tank, and vice versa. Do this while you're setting up for the turn.

Doing this forces you to stay out of the bike, and it will also help you to get your knee out further. Try that next time and let me know how it works for you. If you look in the pic, your abdomen is touching the tank. Try to touch it with your ribs.

Body position is all about what makes you feel comfortable.

I forgot that our bikes are waaaaay different. The 954RR has a tall tank. Try putting your chest on the inside of the tank. Your right pec on the left side of the tank and vice versa. That will definately feel better.

On my bike, my tank is so low that I can touch it with my ribs.

Sorry about the mix-up.

And ByTor is absolutely right. It's about what makes you feel comfortable. I was just offering a suggestion because you didn't look too comfortable in the pic that you posted.

oh no turbo it felt funny but also seemed like the bike handled better in the turn. Can't wait to see how it does at the trackday.

With this riding position, you definately have make a conscious effort to look through the turn. Riding this way puts your body closer to the ground and you can get tempted to target fixate or look down.
