I'm going to Loudon again tomorrow for open practice. Looks like the weather is going to be great. 8) I'm going with two buddies . One on an '04 R6 and one on a 996 bastard bike. Turbo would like the bike though - motor was done, slipper clutch, bunch of other gay Ducati shit  It actually is pretty cool, just not real reliable. Hopefully it will run for the entire day. We are going to try to arrive early and catch some of the cars practicing. I'll try to get some pics.

I can't wait to pass the 996 on the Motard! He's gonna be pissed...

WOOT WOOT!

that sounds like it's gonna be 8) :!:

maybe you shouldn't take some pics and you should give your cam to someone else and then you'd get some pics of the motard in action?!!!

Hope you have a blast. and,..... you are exactly right about 996's not being that reliable.

They sure are pretty though.

Another successful track day! None of us crashed, it didn't rain, and we all came away smiling! 8)

Turbo -- You can hold your head high brother, I couldn't keep up with the Duc. Damn  I really wanted to pass him too. I found out his motor is 128hp at the wheels. He just had SPS cams and high Comp pistons put in and had BCM tune it after the track day. 128 seems pretty good for a 996. What do you think? It was funny, he has a slipper clutch and was saying it is awesome, but everytime he hears it working all he can think about is "that was $5, that one was $10" LOL.

There will be some vid looking back from the Duc with the R6 and me following. They lose me after a few laps, but I hang pretty well. The 30 mph difference on the straight will get ya. That and the street tires I'm running vs. the 208GPA's they had...

Anyone that is close should come to one of the open days. Very limited structure, max riding time, and cheap. We got 5 1/2 20 minute sessions for $100. No catered lunch or anything, but lots of racers there to help you out if you need.

I can't wait to go again. I may even steal the damper off the 954 before I go. That motard gets pretty squirrly down the straight and at the top of the hill going into the bowl!

I got my pistons from BCM and Jeff Nash from Advanced Motorsports did my heads. 128 at the wheel is damn good for a 996. I'm surprised he didn't bore it out to 1036cc.

You can only imagine how fast my bike is, now. 8)

Glad you had a great time. My trackday is 2 tuesdays from now with ByTor and company. I got about 8 friends going. A few of them have cameras too.
