: Yo Turbo!!!!!! I'm Pissed!!!!!!!! Are You?????????????
By-Tor 06-17-2005, 11:44 PM I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just got this e-mail and it ruined my night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The event scheduled for Tuesday June 21st at the Pocono FUSA course has been moved to the Pocono raceway East course. Pocono raceway has informed us today 6/17 that immediate improvements needed to be made to Nascar turn 2 (tunnel turn) and we will be unable to use the FUSA course. Pocono raceway and champion sportbike club would like to appologize to all riders, and will announce the new prices and all associated refunds at the event. If you have any questions please call us at 215-536-9508. Thank you in advance for understanding!
That's totally fucked up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By-Tor 06-17-2005, 11:47 PM I knew I should have gone to Loudon :x
Butter Bean 06-18-2005, 01:08 AM HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!
I'm only find humor in this because I can't go..
Hope everything works out for yall..
I woke up this morning and saw that. I'm really pissed about that. Imagine how I must feel? I convinced a lot of people to go. I totally feel like shit. :(
I'm still going to go for the East Course because I need the tracktime. The east course is still pretty fun, you just won't get your bike past 130mph.
Let me know if you and your guys want the refund. I'll call Mike and I'll bitch and moan. Hopefully you guys will still be able to catch Loudon.
Here's a map and a vid of East.

This really sucks but I'm still going.
With my streak of bad luck, this doesn't surprise me.
First my checking account and now this. I don't even want to know what's next.
Damn man, this blows. I really hope you guys can still make Loudon.
What did Mike and Pete say?
Butter Bean 06-18-2005, 08:14 AM stop cryin.. and count your blessings..
atleast you get to get on a track..
for some of us the east course would be a dream come true.
By-Tor 06-18-2005, 08:53 AM I was excited to be working on my right handers. I'm calling my brother now.................
By-Tor 06-18-2005, 09:19 AM You Turbo, give that pecker head Mike a call and see what kind of discount we'll be getting for running the short track. I could have been up at Loudon for $175 with a fully catered lunch and all the Gatoraid I could drink. I woould have left my M1's on if I knew from the beginning that we were running the short track. My brother would have waited to buy the Powers too. See what you can do since you have talked to Mike before.
I guess the bright side is that the track is still closer than Loudon, but I would prefer to be riding the elevation changes up there than a flat track.
Let me know what you find out.
C420sailor 06-18-2005, 12:50 PM pretty sweet track. it is flat though. they have different groups, right? beginner, intermediate, advanced? how beginner is beginner?

This is my first time riding with this club. With NYSBC, beginner is pretty quick.
ByTor, I just walked in the door. I'm going to try and get in touch with Mike now.
ByTor,
Here is a copy of the email I sent:
Mike,
That's pretty messed up. Are we getting a discount on the trackday? Are you giving riders the option for a refund? I will still be coming but some of the guys I referred are a little upset because I talked them out of going to Loudon to come ride FUSA with me. They put on new rubber and everything.
If you could get back to me via phone (718-xxx-xxxx) or email and let me know what our options are, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks Mike
ByTor,
Here's another piece of info.
NYCs1000 is registered and will be coming with us to East Course.
By-Tor 06-18-2005, 04:41 PM Yeah Turbo, your email pretty much sums up our sentiment. Let me know if you hear back from Mike.
So Shawn is riding? Cool!

Yep, Shawn is riding and he wasn't even gonna tell me. I haven't heard anything from Mike yet. I'm wondering if maybe he's still trying to make FUSA happen.
I PM'd the guy from R1 Forum and he told me that he didn't get the email.
So I'm going to wait until I hear from Mike until I draw any conclusions. NYCs1000 said that he got the email too.
By-Tor 06-18-2005, 09:46 PM Cool............
Try to find out if the group running the FUSA course this Thursday are still doing it or if they have to run East too.
GeNeRaL 06-19-2005, 12:25 AM Sorry to hear. everyone i know that rides this track and has ridden others talks of how much a bore that track is :(
By-Tor 06-19-2005, 12:34 AM Tell me about it GeNeRaL........... I skipped out on Tony's for this because we were gonna run the big course
I even threw on a fresh set of Powers just for this occasion.

This really sucks but I'm still going.
How long is the straight between 5 and 6?
If you're a beginner, you'll probably hit 120mph because you'll end up braking way early.
I can usually hit 140+mph.
